So on my first day up north the gang went to this museum for a fire that annihilated the town and surrounded area.

It was a beautiful day after a bunch of bad weather days, and the company was great.

I am happy to be home. The vacation was needed, but I am in need of a lot of sleep.

I have been up till at least one in the morning most nights for the past twenty days. Ever since my German friend got here.

I have loved having him here. But despite my best efforts, he will be leaving tomorrow evening.

After that I will have some down time.

These pictures are from a trip to Sam's Club. My German friend thought our cub was big, so we had to show him the biggest store around. This was also the day I voted for the first time. (but I didn't upload those pictures)

After shopping, we came home to find this mess in the freezer.

Note to everyone: do not leave a can of Coke in the freezer overnight.

We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.

As stated earlier, today was mostly rainy and unpleasant.

However we did get some time outside, and to step in Lake Superior.

It was freaking cold.

But on with the sharing of pictures.

Here the immediate family met up with some cousins at Lake Harriet.

Notice the reflection in his glasses. I believe it was some sort of trust exercise.

Life is like a Lamborghini. It goes too fast and it costs too much.

Today was great. I saw so many amazing sights, and took many many many pictures.

However these are not those pictures. Today's pictures will come in due time I promise.

I have this thing with sharing pictures in chronological order. But I don't share them right away and then things have a tendency to get backed up. However I have some free time coming up, and that should help me catch up.

Anyway.

These are some shots from a trip to the Mall of America.

Later that night I went to hear some vintage music.

These guys were seriously great.

Tomorrow looks like rain, so plans are to rest and recuperate.

I am currently up at the North Shore.

I have been so excited at the idea of getting out of town for a bit, and the excitement was not deterred by car troubles.

The car is working and we have some great plans (which means great pictures) coming.

However I am going to play a bit of catch up, and put up some pictures of my town's National Night Out.
