"Don’t be so humble - you are not that great."

I have finally seen 500 Days of Summer and loved it. Partly because it had Zooey Deschanel, and partly because it was good movie. Mostly because it had Zooey Deschanel.

I am a big fan of hers. I have not seen a movie of hers I didn't like, regardless of character.
I also love the Cotton commercials she sings in, as well as her style.
Here are some of her pictures that have inspired some of my clothing choices:

WWTBCD? (What would the barefoot contessa do?)

I have finished at work for the week, and I am so ready to be done.
It has been a very long week. I have been feeling under the weather lately, and I have also not been able to get much sleep. this added onto the amount of work I need to do is a little overwhelming. I am just glad I can stay home and focus on my work, sleep, and getting better.

Here is the recipe for some muffins I made a while back, I think I got it from Rachel Ray:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 tablespoons lightly salted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a standard muffin tin and set aside.

Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together into a medium bowl. Set aside.

In the bowl of an electric mixer, combine the butter and 1 1/4 cups sugar and cream at low speed until the mixture is smoothly blended. At low speed, add the eggs, one at a time, and blend. Add the flour mixture and the milk a little at a time, alternating one with the other, and beat until blended, then remove the bowl from the mixer. Add 1/2 cup of the blueberries and gently fold them in with a large wooden spoon. Add the rest of the berries and gently fold them in. Ladle the batter into the muffin tins, filling each hole almost to the top. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup sugar over the muffin tops, then bake in the center of the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until the muffins are puffy and golden brown. remove from the wire rack and cool.
I wish you all an easy Friday.

I want you to take out everything you would be embarrassed to be seen wearing during a car accident

I looked at my closet recently, and I realized I was going to have to leave over half of it at home when I leave. And there is only so much I can leave at home. So at some point I will need to get rid of a great deal more. But for now I am just trying to not to but more.
Here are some of my recent outfits.

I work very hard- please don't expect me to think as well.

OK.
So here are some of my recent "mades."
This is my high-waisted-pencil-skirt with suspenders. I am so proud of this piece because it fits like a glove.

Yes I glued rhinestones on my vest.

This bracelet took longer than I thought, because I had to weave the elastic through three layers of buttons and they would not stay in place.

That is all for now. I hope to post again soon.
