Frosting on my fingertips
Sorry it's late, but here it is.
Three days off and on of Christmas cooking.
I have some pictures, but I can’t seem to get them on the computer.
Anyways, I had a list of recipes I wanted to try, I didn’t get to all of them, but I did try.
By the end of each day (sat. sun. mon.) my feet and back were in a large amount of pain.
But I was very proud of what I made.
Sugar cookies
Donuts
Symphony bars
Oreo cookie things
and other various sugary goodies.
I made them as gifts for coworkers and a few other people.
Along with my Christmas cooking they received a homemade ornament. I guess I was just feeling extra crafty this year.
But back to the cooking.
I made the donuts different this time from the others. Instead of donut holes, I used biscuit dough and cut out the middle with a round cookie cutter. But they were still too big, so I had to cut them in half. After that, it was a whole lot easier to fry them.
Now that I am done with those gifts I can focus on getting my family’s gifts together. I mean, I have them all; I just need to see whose is whose and wrap them.
That’s my post.
Peace.

oops
I seem to have screwed up my first temped at the blog.
I'll start over.
I hate the game life. I played it Monday night and I was the only person still in debt at the end of the game.
That is what you get for going to college.
I don't fully remember what I was. But whatever it was it sucked.
Today I went to the craft store in Apple Vally. I got the last of the things I need for people's Christmas gifts.
Tomorrow I intend to go to Cub to get cooking supplies for Christmas cookies.
I have a few new recipes I wants to try. If they work I'll post them.
Until then.
Peace.

It has pretty busy with school and work, so I haven't had time to write about my weekend.
As I had said we would do earlier, Dad, Ryan, Emma, and I went to get a Christmas tree. We usually cut down our own tree.
We had to go through a few trees to pick out the right one.
Here is Dad explaining to us why this tree wont work.
Here is a tree that will work.
And I was the one who found it!!!!
After we got home we decided to decorate the tree that night.
But first we went out for dinner. I 'm not a big fan of fast food places, mostly because I don't eat meat. But I didn't choose where we would eat, so Arby's it was.
When we got home we started to decorate.
This is something Mom and Dad got from their trip to Germany, Like 50 years ago.
After a few arguments (Emma didn't like some of Ryan's ornaments) and some repair to an ornament (Santa no longer has his arm duct taped on.) The tree was done.
Ta-da!!!
Now I am just studying for my PSEO test and getting people's Christmas gifts together.
Until next post.
Peace.

The last few days
Not much has happened really.
A few nights ago my mom made a German dish a student made for use while she was staying with us. Translated it means "green sauce."
It’s this potato dish with a sour cream, mayo, dill something or other, chives and some other stuff.
Oh, and a hard boiled egg. You put it all together and eat it.
It is now one of my favorite things to eat.
I'll post the recipe when I get it.
Also, last night was the winter walk.
Down town is open and you just go from store to store. Sometimes there are sales.
I worked at the library with the model trains they have every year.
I didn't feel like walking in the cold this year.
I thought my parents looked really cute last night.
Well, that's about all that's been going on.
Later today we are going to cut down a tree. So I'll have some pictures of that.
Until then, peace.

Sitting, waiting, wishing.
It is December, and with December I expect snow.
We have a little, but not enough to do anything. The kids at work are also ready for some snow. A few of them tried to go sledding down the small hill we have. But with more leafs than snow, it didn't go very well.
But snow is more than just sledding. It means picking out a Christmas tree!
Ryan, Emma, and I are often the ones who pick out the tree. Lately because we are the only ones home. But I have been picking out trees since fifth grade. Which means I know what to look for.
I have made a list of my favorite things about snow.
1. Sledding. One of the few things I do outside, being that a hate ice.
2. Time to get the tree. As I said I am an expert.
3. Layering clothes. Winter is so much easier to dress for than summer. It is just a matter of putting on more clothes.
4. Christmas shopping. I LOVE getting people's gifts
5. Hot apple cider. I enjoy this more than hot chocolate.
6. Christmas movies. Tis the time to watch animated movies. I'm looking for "the toy that saved Christmas.
7. A break from school and work. Since I work at a school, I don't often have to work when I don't have school. So I can fully enjoy my break.
I'm hoping for a large snow storm. But it doesn't look likely.
