Today I went to the thrift store in town. They have this sale called “third Thursdays,” you fill up a paper bag for five dollars. When my older sister lived at home we would always go. I am often forgetting about the sale, but this month I remembered. I bought some knitted tops, a jumper, a few belts, and um…….. I can’t remember what else.
I have made some amazing finds their, ones that have lasted me for years. Which is really saying something considering my track record with clothes. I am always ripping, staining, or reinventing me clothes.
I am a BIG fan of thrift stores. Not only because they are an ecology sound way of getting not wasting perfectly good clothing. But you never know what you will find. I also never seem to be on the same page as the other stores when it comes to clothes. Styles come and go so fast I am never sure what I am supposed to be wearing. So it just makes sense to get what I want and wear it when I want. There is nothing like a loud dress or corduroy. It is clothing like that that makes me enjoy my entire. And with the weather getting colder, you need something that warms your style desires.
I hope to soon be able to upload pictures of my clothing adventures for you all to see. My mother’s response to this was “are you sure?” Or maybe she was just referring to my brown jumpsuit. Whatever it was, I refuse to let that stop me for sharing my various style choices, if only so that I can look back and laugh.
That’s all for today. I’ll try to post on a regular basis. But the likelihood of people actually reading my blog is low.
