I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder.

When I was younger I would go through these fazes, in which I’d get obsessed with some craft and do nothing but that one craft for weeks onto months.
In fourth grade I would collect glass bottles and glue pieces of tissue paper on them. I remember spending day after day in my room listening to book on tapes and work at “my craft table.” It was this shelf like thing on wheels I found on my neighbor’s corner.
I would sit at it mixing water into the glue, so it wouldn’t get gloopy, and rip hundreds of tissue paper pieces.
When that faze ended, I packed up all the bottles and put them in a large box, which sat in my closet for years.
I don’t really know why I made all those…….whatever you want to call them. I mean, I know I couldn't use them for anything. But for some reason I kept at it.
Now I try to limit my crafts to things I can actually enjoy.
So now stick to working on my own clothes. There is always just this gratification that comes with wear something of your own creation.
Like these.........

Now you can't see it, but the ribbon is sewn on to the shirt in the back.

My hand sewn Mp3 player case.

Some rockin earrings that came out kind of looking like eyes.

Unfortunately, the bleach from this project got on the jeans I was wearing, as well as the ones I was working on.

Before.......

After!!!!!

Peace.

Anyone without a sense of humor is at the mercy of the rest of us

Not that long ago I went to a visit day at my sister's college. I went the eventhing before, and spent the night in her dorm room.
Now, it's no secret that not all of my family like understand my stayle. So when my sister turned around to see me pull a black and white polk-a-dot dress over my shirt and jeans, I could hear the exasperation in her voice and see the dissopiontment in her face. If I wasn't sure about the outfit before, I certanly knew after.

It's responces like that, that make dressing the way I do just that much more fun.

I've been making alot of stuff lately, and I'll post the pictures soon.

Peace.

My name is “Plays with squirrls.”

So here are just some pictures from the beginning of summer when I went to the zoo with some friends.

The prairie dogs are my favorite animals at this zoo.
I could stare at them all day long.

Especially this one.

I had some body shots of this guy, but they just didn't turn out so well.

We could have fed the giraffe, but the line was to long.

So I just settled for pictures.
I have no idea what this animal is called.
So I just named them all Jesse. That way it doesn't if they are boys or girls.

I once went on one of those stupid Camel rides they have at some zoos, and did not enjoy it one bit. So now I just take pictures of them.
That was my zoo experience.
Peace.

The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

I have a very short attention span. Which means my hair has been all lengths and styles.
But there are somethings I know I can't pull off.
Here's a look.

I love this classic look.
Unfortunately, I don't have the face for this length and bang (I have tried the bang before and it didn't look all that great.)

This one is kind of the same length as the first, but a little longer.
I like the bangs with the layers. It has an indie feel that I really enjoy.
But the short bangs would look bad on my forehead.

I LOVE curly hair.
My little sister has really curly hair that I love. Even if she doesn't.
It's because curls are not all that easy to comb out.

I KNOW!!!!!
Everyone says "don't try dreads Faith!"
All same, I want them. Everything about them is intriguing.
But I know I would get bored off them.

I found this on a blog I love ( http://www.karlascloset.blogspot.com/ )
And there is something about mohawks on girls.
However, I don't think I have the attitude to get away with it.

This has the mohawk thing, but with more edge.
Once again, not enough attitude.

I have always wanted some color in my hair. Whether a little streak or a whole head of color.
I have tried to color my hair, but I haven't gotten it right yet.

I'm still looking for new things to try. And I've learned, it's just hair, it'll grow back. So I'm up to trying anything. But I'm kind of looking for something not short.
I've done the short thing, and I'm ready to go back to long.
Until next time.
Peace.

Hi five? I don't play that jive.

I have been taking sooooooooooo many pictures with my new camera.
The bad thing is, I can't post any of them
Because I can't plug anything into the USB port. It's driving me nuts.
I have also been doing alot of sewing lately. And I promise put up some pictures as soon as I find a way.
Other than taking pictures, I haven't been doing much.
I do, however, have a few of my favorite recipes to share.
My first is a broccoli and cheese soup.
½ bunch of broccoli
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
4 cups milk
4 slices American cheese
Salt and pepper
¼ cup shredded cheese
1. Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil. Cut the broccoli florets from the stems and discard the stems. Cut the florets into bite-size pieces and cook in the boiling water for 5 minutes, or until slightly crunch. Drain and set aside.
2. Melt the butter in the same saucepan over medium heat and stir in the flour. Cook until bubbly. Add 1 cup of the milk and stir until smooth. Add the remaining 3 cups of milk and cook, stirring occasionally until it just begins to boil.
3. Reduce the heat to low and add the American cheese, stirring until it is completely melted. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Reserve 4 of the broccoli florets for garnish and stir in the remaining broccoli into the soup.
4. Ladle the soup into 4 bowls. Sprinkle some of the cheddar in the center of each bowl and top with a piece of broccoli.
Serves 4
And second is banana bread.
½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 medium bananas
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1. Preheat the oven to 375F. Lightly butter or spray the side and bottom of a 9-inch loaf pan.
2. Place the butter and sugar in a large mixing and beat with an electric mixer on low speed until the sugar is completely mixed into the butter. Add in eggs and mix until the batter is smooth. Mix in bananas until there are no large chunks remain. The batter will be lumpy, but the pieces of banana should all be ½ inches or smaller.
3. Add baking soda and salt and mix on low speed until combined. Add the flour and mix on low speed, scraping the sides of the bowl occasionally, until all the flour is incorporated.
4. Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce the oven heat to 350F and bake for 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
5. Remove the bread for the pan and let cool on rack.
That's is for now.
Peace.

Well, I did get some stuff done.
I spent Thursday cooking and did my sewing throughout the break.
And I have to say, I'm glad with how most of it turned out.
The cooking was long, and it all started with me leaving my recipes and the cousins the day before. My aunt was kind enough to scan them, then email them to my mom.
After that I started on the pretzels. But first, it wouldn't turn into dough, and then, it wouldn't rise. So my mom came in to help.
As I was measuring in the sugar, my mom saw two things wrong. First, the temperature of my water was 0ff by 30 degrees. Second, I put 1 1/2 cups of sugar in, instead of 1 1/2 teaspoons.
How dumb can I get!!!
But it was fixed and turned out nice.
I also made some puff pastries with a white chocolate filling, as well as banana bread.
By dinner time on Thursday, I was exhausted.
As far as the sewing, I made a dress, some tops, and a few other accessories.
I would love to put some pictures of what I made. But my computer still will not let me.
So, until later.
Peace.

Do you yahoo?

These are some newspaper clippings I found.
It was 11:30 pm and Ryan and I could not stop laughing at them.
